Normal Skin

Has a consistent feel across the whole face with no apparent signs of oily or dry areas. It is generally found to be soft, supple and smooth. Pore size is generally small and spots/acne aren't usually a problem. This is the skin type that most people would love to have so you're very lucky if you do! Our products work in harmony with your skin and are ideal to maintain the natural balance that your face already has.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is the skin type with a split-personality. One part of the face may be dry while another area is oily. The term "T-zone" refers to combination skin types where the forehead, nose and chin are oily but the cheeks and the area around the eyes is either normal or dry. This will fit the majority of combination skin types except for a small percentage who may have symptoms such as a pimply forehead or cheeks that are dry where all else is normal. In some cases, the skin could be normal everywhere outside the T Zone and this would still be combination skin type.

Dry Skin

Can tend to feel tight and you may see some of your skin flaking off. This dryness can however be brought about by seasonal conditions and also by not drinking enough water. Prolonged exposure to the elements, particularly the wind can dry the skin. Dry skin has less protection because its surface oils are reduced and it can be quite 'fragile'. Dry skin must be treated with care and products must be used that take this into consideration.

Oily Skin

Just look at most any teenager going through hormonal changes and you can see oily skin. It's the only time in my life that my own skin was overly oil. Oily skin looks shiny and also has a sort of hardness to it that goes beyond the nice firmness of normal skin - a sort of thickness. Pores are larger and more visible and, due to the excess oil, there's more of a tendency toward pimples, blackheads, whiteheads etc. with the oily complexion.

Sensitive Skin

A person with sensitive skin has a lot more trouble with environmental factors than the average person. Your skin will burn more easily in the sun, and you will also have more sensitivity to cosmetics (particularly if perfumed). You may also experience rashes or a burning sensation due to overexposure to wind, sun, and extreme shifts in temperature.
